Course Description
This course is designed to raise awareness of the dangers caused when large vehicles reverse, and introduces practical techniques and signals to assist drivers with this maneuver. Delegates will also be trained in the skills to assist other drivers and banksman.
Course Objectives
• Understand Roles and Responsibilities : Recognize the key duties of a flagman/traffic marshal in managing traffic and ensuring safety at construction sites, industrial areas, or public roadworks.
• Identify Traffic Hazards: Recognize potential risks associated with vehicle and pedestrian movement, road conditions, and site-specific hazards.
• Apply Traffic Control Procedures: Implement safe traffic control measures, including placement of signs, cones, barricades, and using hand signals or flags correctly.
• Use Communication and Signaling Skills: Employ effective verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to guide drivers, pedestrians, and site workers safely.
• Understand Legal and Regulatory Requirements: Learn UAE traffic safety laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and local authority requirements related to traffic management
• Respond to Emergencies: React appropriately to incidents such as vehicle collisions, pedestrian accidents, or unexpected hazards, including alerting authorities and providing initial assistance.
