Course Description
The aim of the training is to equip the delegate with the knowledge to identify different hazards and control measures associated with hot work/welding.
Course Objectives
By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:
To ensure the work area is inspected and all sources of ignition are isolated from the hot work area and make the area safe for hot works.
Identification of hazards associated with welding and application of control measures.
To understand how and why hot work permit is issued.
To establish fire watches when applicable
To use appropriate personal protective equipment and their proper usage.
